Women in Tech panel at the Women of the World Festival 2014 at Southbank Centre in London earlier this year.
Are there enough female role models in the tech space? Is this inner policy more of an issue in the UK more than elsewhere? To what extent are women holding back other women? Should we just accept that some industries will attract more of a certain gender than others? The speakers are Cheryl Bart, Board member of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), Mariéme Jamme, CEO of SpotOne Global Solutions and founder of African Gathering, Emma Mulqueeny, founder and CEO of Wired State and Rewired State and tech artist Julie Freeman. Chaired by Olivia Solon, deputy editor of Wired.co.uk.
And we need more gender balanced speakers/panel members at tech events…….
